Approaching dates and deadlines

Below are some approaching dates and deadlines for winter term 2025. For a full list of dates, see the 2025 Winter Term Calendar.

  • January 20 – Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Courses regularly held in the 8-, 9-, 10-, 11-, 12-, 2-, and 6A sequences moved to their x-periods. Courses held in the 3A-period moved to the 3B-period. Laboratory sections meet as scheduled (unless otherwise notified by the instructor).
  • January 21 – Final day for electing use of the Non-Recording Option (NRO).
  • February 7 – Course Timetable available for the spring term.
  • February 12 — February 20 – Spring term course election period.
  • February 17 – Final day for dropping a fourth course without a grade notation of “W.” (If dropping a fourth course after this date, one of four eligibilities for a fourth course is exhausted by such action).
  • February 17 – Date for submission of degree applications by prospective winter term graduates.

Statement on Diversity and Inclusion

“Dartmouth’s capacity to advance its dual mission of education and research depends upon the full diversity and inclusivity of this community. We must increase diversity, particularly among our faculty and staff.
